Different gifts. One purpose: TO SERVE. 🩵
Diferentes dones. Un mismo propósito: SERVIR.
Today I’m especially grateful to God for allowing me to see how pieces of my story that once seemed completely separate are actually connected.
I came to this country as a Latina immigrant carrying my experiences, my creativity, my faith and the willingness to keep learning.
Today, here in Waxhaw and the North Carolina community, I get to serve through face painting, art, my books in English and Spanish, teaching Spanish, and creating alongside children and young adults with different abilities.
And none of those things happened exactly as I planned them.
Two years ago, a CPR class led to meeting a beautiful family who believed in me and welcomed me into their learning community. Today I have the privilege of teaching Spanish there.
God knew what He was connecting long before I could see it.
🇨🇴 Soy inmigrante. Soy Latina. Soy mamá.
Pero antes que cualquier título, soy hija de Dios y he sido llamada a servir.
Hoy entiendo que mis manos pueden pintar una sonrisa, crear arte, escribir un libro, enseñar una palabra nueva o acompañar a alguien a descubrir lo que sí puede hacer.
Los dones pueden verse diferentes, pero cuando Dios les da propósito, todos pueden convertirse en una manera de servir.
Thank you, God, for every gift.
Thank you for every person who has opened a door.
And thank you for allowing me to serve this community I now call home. 💜
