Crashing after two full days of book-buying ✌🏼

This weekend’s annual charity book sale in South Carolina is where we source most of our shop’s great reads each year. The “Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale” supports the Greenville Literacy Association. Many thanks to Amanda, Sarah, Sarah (yes, two Sarahs!), and Jono for their help with selecting, to Fleur for looking after our kiddos, and to all the fantastic volunteers at the event. It will be a few weeks before these start showing up on the shelves, but look out Waxhaw, lots of fresh reads are on their way!

This month’s read is a classic Chinese novel centering on the rise and fall of the aristocratic Jia family during the Qing Dynasty. The series is considered one of China’s four great classical novels chronicling 18th-century Chinese life. Whether you finished the novel or only just started it, we’d love to have you join for discussion on Tuesday, May 12, at 7:30 pm at the Mule Barn Mercantile!
