It’s inexpensive, it’s shiny, it’s luxurious, it’s a pain to work with and not a good choice for a pillow. If you’re paying for custom sewing, it’s best to spend a little more for a better quality finished product.

Asking a seamstress how many machines she has…… that’s a little taboo. Took my 2 main squeezes in for yearly service yesterday, to beat the holiday order rush, and it’s a FOUR WEEK turnaround! Machine 3 is a specialty stitch, so #4 is up and running, and for a 1957 vintage, she’s both a sprinter and long distance runner. 5 and 6 are in the closet, and I’ll leave the total there…..

Assembling the cushion isn’t what takes longest. It’s the prep work for a quality piece that you’re paying for. Better made cushions just……wear better. Serged edges for the win every time 😍

Tricks of the trade - tape is my best friend with the current pillow project under the needle. You thought those patterns matched themselves? 🤣
