The future of retail is looking bright. And the numbers back it up.

GGP’s Stonebriar Centre in Frisco and Town East Mall in Mesquite, Texas, both saw visitation increase nearly 3% through the first eight months of 2026. Across our 11 Texas shopping centers, the portfolio is 99% leased.

And the momentum extends well beyond Texas. As recently reported by Bisnow, visits to indoor malls nationwide were up 5% year over year in August, while Green Street reported a 13% surge in mall values.

It's further proof that high-quality shopping centers continue to attract shoppers, retailers, and investors alike. And at GGP, we're committed to keeping great retail in style.

Earlier this month, leaders from across our U.S. portfolio gathered in Chicago for our 2026 GGP Connect Leadership Summit.

The two-day event included team-building activities, cross-department sessions, and our well-loved Tables of 8 conversations, bringing teams together in smaller groups for connection and collaboration. This year we had iO Chicago Improv Team lead a fun Communications Workshop.

We also celebrated our Annual Community Partner Award winners, recognizing property teams who went above and beyond in their local impact efforts.

It's been a busy summer at Willowbrook! In addition to new stores on the horizon, we've been buzzing elsewhere—at our beehive to be more specific!

🐝Earlier this summer, we partnered with to install a beehive on property. A biodiversity initiative introduced by our corporate office, the Willowbrook team has been admiring the bees from afar.

🐝Under the guidance of our beekeeper, Dorothy, we were onhand to learn about our bustling hive and just how productive they've been this summer!

🐝Dorothy checked on the bees' health, including the queen bee. She told us that based on the the production level of honey, the bees have been busy and have remained healthy all summer. We learned that there are about 70,000 (!) bees in our hive. To boot, the bees have produced about 150 lbs of honey since they made their way to Willowbrook!

🐝According to Alveole, Urban beekeeping means keeping honey bee colonies in cities, often on flat rooftops of office buildings or retail centers. These managed hives help pollinate nearby plants while producing honey and other bee products.

🐝We're excited to welcome this educational and sustainable initiative to the property! We hope to host community groups at upcoming events to share this fascinating addition to Willowbrook.
