Yikes y'all, it's been a wild couple of weeks!

But through it all, I'm still trucking along on my new Jimothy pattern. He'll even have some size adjustments so you can make the rest of his family, or give him those long legs he loves to show off! You might have even seen that my prototype has already been adopted by my 1st grader 😂

Every one of my new crochet patterns starts with a prototype - a version that helps shapes the pattern, but includes some variations & mistakes while I nail down the details. It's a rough draft on the way to the final project.

Rather than frog these prototypes, they join my kids' collections!

Prototype Jimothy has been adopted as a new best friend before I've even released the pattern 🩷 He's been built a house, read stories, fed treats, and been snuggled throughout the night. The only problem is that both kids want one, so there's going to be yet another Jimothy on my hook today! 😂

While I'm working out the final details of my Jimothy pattern, I have a handful of preteens in my house and couldn't resist taking a little break to crochet them some matching scrunchies 🩷

In the absolute chaos that has taken over my life recently, I totally forgot to share that I did actually finish my new pride garden flag during pride month! 🌈

I'm a big proponent of yarn bomb and outdoor crochet project maintenance, so I knew it was time to replace last year's flag when I noticed that it was becoming sunfaded. (Being placed it full sun year round, it was only a matter of time!)

What better time to make a new pride flag than pride month?

Last year's flag has been carefully washed and stored away, and this year's bright new creation is proudly adorning my garden for the next year. (Though I may have to pull it out just for a side by side comparison!)

Oops, I wound all my hanks 🤷‍♀️

Ok, not *all* of them, but every one that I have plans to use in the near future! I only meant to wind two, but it can be such a soothing process, and the momentum just carried me away...

I know some people prefer to wind their yarn by hand, but I honestly don't find that soothing at all. Maybe there's something about watching everything spin?

And honestly, if I'm going to get the swift out, I might as well wind as much yarn as I can in one go!
