About three or four years ago, I was scouting Waynesboro Goodwill for antique plates for jewelry making. There was this cool pattern I was admiring, as was a woman beside me. We struck up a conversation about how pretty the pattern was. I also told her how I break antique plates with a hammer to make jewelry, and letโs just say, she was pretty transparent about her disapproval. ๐
At some point, I decided not to buy them, and went to another part of the store. When I went out to the parking lot, this woman was loading those plates into her trunk, and I said โOh, you bought the china!โ, and she replied โYes, because I couldnโt stand the thought of you breaking them with a hammer!โ ๐
Today I had an appointment at consign & collect co. and happened to be double booked with another lady for the same time. I had offered to help her carry in her boxes, which happened to be boxes of china. When we got to her car, she asks, โDo I know you?โ, to which I replied, โI feel like I know you, too!โ And I swear, at the same time as weโre looking at the box of china (pictured), we both started laughing and said โGoodwill!โ The box of china I carried for her was the same china she rescued from my evil clutches a few years back โฆ ๐.
So if youโre looking for a simple, yet very pretty set of antique dishes. help my new friend Barbara out and buy these at Consign and Collect. ๐ฅฐ
