We had our first oval race on the new track and it went well! Racing was very competitive for it still being dirt season. Don't miss out this Saturday!

However, we also have some sad news to share, our friend and fellow racer, Mark Muller, passed away this weekend. He will be greatly missed at the track. He was a great man to be around, friendly and always having a good time. We here at 997 extend condolences to his family. It was an honor to have Mark at the track.

Don’t forget!

First oval race is tomorrow at 11! Doors open at 8 and the shop at 9. Come out and race on the new track. We had many people practicing today, so it’s looking to be a good turnout! Don’t miss it!

We had a good turnout this week! 57 entries on a Tuesday night! The race for points is heating up! We had back-to-back weeks with Sprinter having a C main. Points should be up soon. Hope to see you back next week at 6:15!

We had another record-breaking night at 997! As we get closer to the winter season, the competition seems to get more and more intense. The class to watch last week was Sprinter, in which we had a C main! Don't miss out! Racing tomorrow night at 6:15!

Big news for oval racers!

We will be having a points series for oval this season! Important to note that while the points series classes are listed below, we will still race a class regardless of if it is for points as long as it has enough entries.
There will be four drops throughout this points series. Points will be for every Saturday oval race EXCEPT:

October 3rd (First race on the new track!)
November 14th (King of the Ring)
April 10th (Spring Carpet Oval Championship)

For every other Saturday oval race on our website, it will be a part of the Sling It Saturdays points series.

Top 3 of each points class will receive an award. The points classes are:
Losi Nascar Box Stock
Losi Nascar Cup Class
Losi Wingless Sprint*
Losi Latemodel*
Breakout
21.5 RTT
17.5 RTT
*Losi Sprint and Latemodel MUST use DE Phenom tires front and rear

We will also have some special awards:

Losi Dirt Champion- Driver who has most combined points in Losi Latemodel and Losi Wingless Sprint will receive an award

and

Losi Nascar Champion- Driver who has most combined points in Losi Nascar Box Stock and Losi Nascar Cup Class will receive an award

As per usual, doors open at 8am, hobby shop opens at 9am, and racing starts at 11am.

First points race is on October 17th. What will you be racing?

Fresh pictures of the New Oval track.

New power added for the additional track side pit tables. Lighting updated with additional LED lighting. Inner and outer pit lane.
LiveTime computer is up and running for practice laps!

Losi sprint/wingless and Latemodel will be required to run DE Phenom tires front and rear. No factory treaded tires on the carpet.

The track is ready for practice we will be finishing a few things around the track over the next week. Racevision computers still need setup and some carpet on the back stretch seating area will be added.

We had some competitive racing at 997 RC Raceway this week! 17.5 2WD Buggy and 13.5 4WD Buggy both were very competitive classes. Our points series is still heating up! Races are each Tuesday at 6:15 PM.
