It’s all part of the process! In this video, our crew is running fresh chips through our Rotochopper MC-266 horizontal grinder and into our EDGE TRM 516 trommel.

With the trommel drum wrapped in plastic, our TH Glennon Co. color system injects water and color directly into the material as it tumbles, creating the rich, enhanced color our customers love. 🤎

The result? Dark, brown, beautifully colored mulch—processed right here at Mulch & More Landscape Supply.

🟤 Fresh Off the Belt! 🟤

This brown mulch was just colored and ground on our MC 266 — straight from us to your yard! But here’s something a lot of folks don’t know…

Did you know fresh color-enhanced mulch needs time to dry?

That rich color you see is a water-based dye, and it needs 24–48 hours to fully cure and bond once it’s spread. If rain or sprinklers hit it too soon, you might notice some color rinse off the surface — totally normal, non-toxic, and won’t affect your mulch long-term. Once it dries and settles, that color locks in beautifully. 🌧➡️☀️

A few quick tips for the best results:
✅ Spread during a dry stretch if you can
✅ Keep wet mulch off concrete driveways and sidewalks or use a tarp (it can stain concrete when wet!)
✅ Hold off on sprinklers for the first 48 hours
