Even as I think about the vital importance of water in our physical lives, I am reminded of how much more important 'living water' is to our eternal soul.

In the book of John, Jesus said, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ”

The gift is free- available to anyone who is thirsty and willing to come and believe. Not a physical thirst, but a soul thirst that only Jesus can fill. Jesus satisfies. He is our bread of life and living water. Our souls were made for him. And he fills us. Not just for a single day, but for the rest of eternity. Now THAT is something to celebrate!
