I did something pretty cool that I didn’t think I could. I submitted an embroidery hoop to the state fair, not thinking that anything would come of it because all of the other submissions were so beautiful. But here I am with a blue ribbon and lots of pride. Thank you, Dolly, for reminding me who I am.

It’s national farmers market week and they’re giving away tote bags! We just got some amazing new merch designed by Plucky Sparrow & while I won’t be vending this week you should still come out and try to win one! The Buy Good Do Good market was such a lovely day, lots of laughs, lots of new faces, lots of sweet treats! Saturday April 18th & Sunday April 19th head to for the Buy Good, Do Good market. Sweet Pea will be there on Sunday but both days will have a full list of amazing vendors. This market is all about pouring back into our community, supporting local small businesses, and being intentional with your dollar.

Something stunning happened today and I just wanted to tell the world. A market regular came with the most generous gift, her entire collection of embroidery thread. She had told me that watching me stitch reminded her that she used to love it and do it all the time but hasn’t touched it in years. It inspired her to go through her collection and she decided it would be better utilized by someone like me than gathering dust in a closet for another unknown number of years. I am ridiculously grateful to be a part of this community, what a great reminder to pay it forward when you have something to give and someone to give it to. My perpetual thanks every time I use a strand.
