The Trinity County Arts Council and Trinity Trust Summer Youth Program is excited to present "Steam Punk Fun" - Saturday, July 22nd in Weaverville at Angela's Bead Art (100 Cox Rd) from Noon to 3 pm AND on Sunday, July 23 in Hayfork at The Art Shop (7090 CA-3) from Noon to 3 pm. Join us April 17th and April 24th for a special event: Private Forest Landowner Assistance Workshop hosted by the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts. CAL FIRE and cooperators will be sharing all you need to know about financial and technical assistance through State and Federal programs to help with the upkeep of your property. Speakers from CAL FIRE, US Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency, National Resource Conservation Service, University of California Cooperative Extension, and more will be on hand. Come help pull invasive weeds on Saturday, May 13, from 10 am-2 pm. This event kicks off TRRP’s Adopt-a-Plot program, where community members pull noxious weeds throughout the year. This inter-agency and community program aims to eradicate pesky invasive plants from the Bucktail River Access in Lewiston. If you’d like to volunteer for one day or commit to a whole year by Adopting-a-Plot, we will provide training and help to identify non-native invasive plants. Participants are free to work on their plots whenever they want. Food and drinks will be available.
Keep an eye out in October for the Planting Day event, where native seeds will be sown in these plots to help re-establish the native habitat critical for a healthy ecosystem.
