We are Ted and Carrie Ann Hebert, owners of A-Bear-Acres, LLC in beautiful Webster, NH. We are retired from the USAF after 29 years and after living all over the states and Europe, we have planted ourselves here. Ted currently teaches JROTC at Pinkerton Academy and is our family Bee Keeper, You Tube mechanic and all around handy man. I currently homeschool the 2 youngest of our 5 children and pla
nt tons of things where Ted is not allowed to mow...which is almost everywhere. We have been blessed with 4 handsome sons and 1 beautiful daughter. Chance, our oldest, married the love of his life, Hope and they have blessed us with our first grandchild, Basil Ruth...Ohhhh, the joy!!! Our beautiful daughter, Bryce Ann has graduated from college, spent some time overseas and now is working on how to get back overseas. Tanner has just graduated high school and has started at the Harmel Academy of Trades in Michigan and look forward to working with his hands. Brayden has just started high school and looks forward to this year's basketball team and Remmy is starting the 5th grade and loves all things video games. We have dreamed of having a small farm for the past 20 years and we are finally here! It took a few years before we could really call it a farm...and it still might be a stretch to call it that. It's more like plant frenzy with bees and animals thrown in and whatever project strikes my fancy for that year. However, we have managed to pull together some basic staples of production around here. Our honey is delicious...though it has not been the most dependable of harvests. Our herbal teas are delicious and so good for you! We use herbs to make tinctures, balms and salves for all manner of things. I truly believe that God has given us everything we need for food and medicine in our own backyards. I still love my nurse practitioner. Shout out to Kelly from Family Tree Health in Warner! We all love her. But I digress. We raise chickens for eggs, goats and hope to be making cheese this spring, and soon will be raising meat rabbits. I also enjoy crafting essential oil blends personal care and home care. We are always coming up with new projects and ideas. I think seedlings may be in the mix next spring as Ted is busy getting my hoop house set up. If you come to visit you will be welcomed by our cacaphony of dogs and cats. Bruno, the wondermut is our 6 year old Great Pyrenese, the newest of our bunch. He is a gentle giant. However, he is not a livestock guardian dog as he ate 1 and tried for 2 more of my chickens...poor things are stuck in the coop now. Della is our 3 year old shepherd, hound dog mix...she is goofy and sweet...and loves to bark...sorry Susan (my neighbor ;-) Chloe, our 11 year old boxer is our little old lady, but she still has some pep in her step. The three kitties, Misty, Mittens and Puter are always on the prowl. It is never dull at the Hebert house! A-Bear-Acres is a busy, often chaotic, and mostly joyful place. And it is alway home. We love it here and hope you will enjoy following us on our adventures.
