We know that sometimes, things happen. Emergencies, fires, injuries, domestic problems and so on. Unfortunately, our young people are left trying to find comfort in chaos. Wedowee Kiwanis has launched a project to try and bring some comfort during these times.
December through February we will be collecting Teddy bears and Cuddle bags (Teddy bear, pillowcase, toothbrush, toothpaste, book and blanket) to donate for our first responders and DHS.
The children of our community are our number one priority. Let us come together to assist in easing the pain of tragedy.
Teddy bears and Cuddle bags can be purchased online through our store or at one of our locations in town. The two locations for purchasing prepackaged items are First Light Coffee and Banjo.com. Both are located in downtown Wedowee. Teddy bears are $10 each and Cuddle bags $25 each.
You may also put together your own personalized bag or Teddy bear to donate. As long as these items are new and inside a plastic bag, you may drop them off at either location.
This project is an opportunity to make a small difference in a child's life when they could use it the most.
