From his log home nestled in the k***s of southwest Jefferson County, Bob hikes miles in search of the perfect honeysuckle-entwined saplings for his sticks during the winter months while the sap is not running. After a straightening and drying period, each sapling is debarked and sanded fo
r a smooth finish revealing the beautiful look and feel of the wood. This is Bob’s favorite part of the process as it allows him to give each stick its own personality. Five coats of water-based polyurethane are applied to allow each stick to shine and last for many generations. Owning one of Bob's Stix is like buying a work of art on a sturdy hiking and walking partner suited for strolls in the park or hikes in the woods.
