September is fickle month, I seen some good dry fly days and some bad days.

Dry Flies (Slates & Olives) - Streamers & Hoppers will work on Bass, they pound them.

The shop will Open around Sept 5th or 12th.

Dry Fly Hatches: #12 Cream Cahills, Small Caddis, Yellow Sally Stoneflies, Cahills (Yellow & Orange), Slate Drake's, Olives. Wetflies, Nymphs and Streamers always work!

Penns, Good Color. 235cfs 6am Monday.
Temp 66 Saturday 6am.

Morning fishing should be your best bet. Evening fishing with dry flies has been late 8-9pm.

Picture - What I call globs of foam bubbles form when the creek changes from Spring to Summer. Another sign is damsel flies show up. They are here already.

The creek hit 71 degrees last night. This is generally when I close the shop until September. Sadly, the rain missed Penns Creek 161cfs, this made the decision easy. The wind will be blowing hard today and tomorrow as well.
