The Pagoda Dogwood is a good plant for a partial shade area (that means it will need some sun but also takes shade). The Pagoda is named because it branches are horizontal and tiered. You have seen them if you have been out and about this past June - they are gorgeous tree growing 15-25 feet tall. It takes a few years to get started as it establishes its root. After that about 2 feet per year. It needs a well-drained soil and will live in zone 3-7 – so I am thinking that you folks in Rangley and surround areas also might benefit from this tree. Below is a photo of it here at Blue Vue Plant, 586 West Side Rd, Weld, ME. I have 19 of these right now $12.97 each – I have snagged one for myself already and plan to plant it in my landscape as I have been totally captivated with them these last couple of summers when I have seen them in my travels. I have also placed in the same box here at Blue Vue some new small Red Prince Weigelas. They are beautiful starts and have 8 of them there with another 20 probably coming in a couple weeks. Price on the are $9.97 – same as usually. We are moving into the second half of our summer – so make sure these get watered well at the ROOT level for the next couple months – make it a point to catch me and I will talk to you about a way to make sure you are getting water to the roots for new shrubs, bushes and trees. Remember – self-serve, cash, check or Venmo. No cover – so come dressed for the weather and being outside. This is a farm. Open all daylight hours. Thousands of plants (and many weeds I am working on conquering). Photos below are the Pagoda Dogwood and Red Prince Weigela in the boxes. Theu are in the newest area – go to the Red cart that has dirt. Walk straight toward the rock wall til you you get to the last row. Walk up the last row and about 5 box before you get to the end. Hopefully that will help make the “Easter” egg hunt easier!
