Every Lorcana deck you have ever built was shaped by the same ceiling: one ink per turn, no more. Hyperia City breaks that ceiling exactly once, and Ravensburger built the entire set around it.

An ink drop is a counter that gives you a single one-time-use ink, spendable to play a card from your hand or to empower a card already on the board. Lead designer Lukas Litzsinger said the team wanted to focus on a single mechanic in this set, and that it can completely change the tempo of a game. The practical version: the turn you spend your drop has to be the turn your opponent cannot answer, and most players will lose games spending it on something they could have afforded anyway.

The set prereleases 16 October and hits general release 23 October, with Coco joining Lorcana for the first time in the Marigold District. Triad Wellington runs both formats on Saturday 17 October — Pack Rush at 7:00 PM for anyone new to the game, sealed prerelease at 7:30 PM.
