My photographs and cards are created by me with love, spirit, nature and by the heart of an angel -- my mom! I hope people will stop and take notice of things they might normally see and find the beauty within them -- a tiny grasshopper with a lot of personality in his expression, dandelion magic that exists down among the weeds, raindrops on blades of grass
. In April, 2014, I entered a very difficult time in my life when I suffered the loss of my mom. I needed to focus my mind on something instead of the sadness that surrounded my sweet mom's hospital room. I walked around the grounds and noticed the red roses, the blue sky, raindrops on the pansies. Using my cell phone camera, I started taking pictures. Without knowing it, my therapy was beginning. I found a way to reconnect with my family and friends. I find a photograph my subjects in their natural environment -- no special techniques or software is used to enhance what I find in nature. Sometimes it takes me a hundred or more attempts to get the perfect shot, because I can't tell my subjects to sit down and pose! Red roses were my mom's favorite flower, and Red Prairie Rose was named in her honor. My journey has been exciting and rewarding, and I look forward to my next unexpected discovery in nature.
