Robinson Guitars Fine handcrafted guitars by Luthier Jake Robinson. Working alone in his Northern Michigan studio Jak I make my guitars the old-fashioned way. I make them. By hand.

One at a time, with highly figured Brazilian rosewood, koa and mahogany. Each with superior tone, fit and playability. A natural beauty you just can't get in a factory-made instrument. But the instruments I make are for people who are looking for something unique. True. Lasting. People who play and play and play. This fine Brazilian rosewood SJ and another we’re stolen from my Kalamazoo shop in 2004 and spent the night without cases in the snow south of the current Food Dance along the train tracks. After a nerve racking few days KPS called and had them in evidence nearly undamaged sans a few finish scratch that could be buffed out. After telling Paul and a few friends about the experience and showing off the instrument I sold Paul this Guitar about 6 months later, oh the stories it could tell. I wish we had official record of how many Greensky Bluegrass songs have been hammered out on this baby. Go check Phoff and Anders out on this run it’s always a special occasion when he plays this puppy.
