Lets just be clear here, before 2010 there was no official brand, or slapped together "Collections" labeled American Grappler that ever existed period. I am the only individual to ever produce an official brand coined "American Grappler", and I did so back in 2010. It was labeled American Grappler Authentic to be exact and it was indeed Trademarked. I'm also the only individual to EVER use this specific name so intentionally and on the scale i have! Moreover, I didn't just conceive the concept, I actually operated in commerce domestically and internationally for two years initially. It was absolutely on purpose and it IS AGAIN. In 2016 I briefly ran a limited roughly year long campaign to retest interest in the possible relaunch of the brand after a nearly 4 year unfortunate circumstantial hiatus. I offered limited runs and those runs were semi-successful at the time. The brand was featured on an internet radio show hosted by Brian Snow and Matt Granahan. We sold a limited Billy Wicks tee, and other designs also. We forged relationships and generated some buzz.
To date, I currently once again have a bit of a stranglehold on this handle of "American Grappler" on social media and elsewhere online. Unfortunately I was never able to secure the .com as someone has been squatting on it for years and wants a small fortune for it, which I am not inclined to pay at this time. It's never been used for commerce, its always remained dormant. However I have secured other top level TDL's like AmericanGrappler.us , and .shop, and .co, in which I absolutely intend to utilize.
Lastly, there have been entities and still are that have produced brief one off designs or shotty collections that loosly utilize the title, but that fail miserably to honor the title in a world class manner. Its clowns like this that should go find something else to do because they produce low class looking merch! They are in nearly every instance shotty work that definitely should have never even been produced. They are a disgrace to the significance of the name and should be keenly seen as such. They're of so little relevance that theyre simply nothing to really take seriously.
With all that stated, I am officially reestablishing American Grappler as a legitimate company and brand. I am taking every opportunity to secure reasonable rights to the name. In a few short years, there will be no question where to find official authentic American Grappler merchandise. Additionally, I promise to only produce quality products worthy of bearing the name American Grappler!
