I’m tempted to drop my current Reads for Majestic Hills and/or Murder Bites and/or The Wild Beneath. Petition to stop time solely for the purpose of reading?

(My copies of this month’s #1 Indie Next Pick, Etna, arrived damaged—because of course they did. But I’ll soon have more on the way.)

I continued my Missouri Indie Bookshop Tour today! YAY!

I was all over the place: Read A Book STL, Left Bank Books, Subterranean Books, , ANCHOVY BOOK CO, The Novel Neighbor, and Leviathan Bookstore.

As a new bookshop, it’s so inspiring to walk into long-established and wildly successful shops like these.

And every time I visit another indie, I can’t help but daydream about what Double Dog 3.0 is going to be like. (Which isn’t happening anytime soon, unless one of y’all has a big pile of money with my name on it. 😅 But Prince Jack Hartnett and I have biiiiiiiig ideas.)

What’s been your favorite tour stop? (Not Double Dog, sillies. You can have a different favorite and I’ll still love you!)

Okay okay okay! By popular request-bordering-on-demand, I’ve *finally* started putting together Blind Dates with a Book!

Each one has:
A new book
A couple of hints, including the first line
A book-tracker book mark
Annotation tabs
A pen and highlighter
Tea
A cutie pin
A magnetic bookmark or two
Stickers

Prices range from $20ish to $30ish depending on the book. I have 11 on hand right now, but my kitchen table overfloweth. 😆
