Working on the scheme for the November calendar today!

10/18/2026

I was NOT vibing with the first flowers I put down. This has happened a couple of times before and I just have to start over. And that’s ok, some of my favorite pieces have actually started this way!

I really loved using our vintage yellow chair but it was a tad short for the new desk and my back wasn’t having it. I’m loving the new chair too 🧡🖤🧡🖤🙌

Working on a special project that will also be November’s print! Sometimes I can’t find juuust the right colors of tissue…and I have A LOT! So I’ll grab some paint, throw some white tissue over/under it and there I’ll have the exact papers I need. This project is going that way! I was still able to pull a bunch of already layered papers from my stash though for instance I had all the perfect blues 🙌

I’ve been really enjoying early mornings lately but, it was hard to wake up this morning. I made a delicious iced coffee with my moka pot and it deserved better. I put it in this gorgeous red glass I got from my mama and I’m ready to get this day started 🙌🤣

October letters are on their way!!

10/04/2026

I had a brilliant last minute ideas to make bookmarks from some of Mary E.’s sewing notions! So here I am deciding another day to add more to this letter. Hey it’s Sunday (post doesn’t run on Sunday 🤣) and it’s a great one! The October letter will be on its way to everyone tomorrow! 🖤💛🖤🧡.

I’ve always been strangely lucky when it comes to inheriting seamstress stashes.

I’m talking vintage sewing notions tucked away in old wooden chests, sewing desk drawers, boxes, and forgotten little corners — and I’ve never even sought them out. They just seem to find their way to me.

Like last week. I bought a small desk with six drawers, and when I opened them… they were stuffed full of sewing treasures. 😭

I always wonder about the women who owned these things before me. Most of the time, I receive them after they’re gone. Sometimes there’s a name tucked away somewhere, but even when there isn’t, I find myself imagining who they were.

Sometimes I make up characters for them — little stories and lives of my own invention — because I like the idea of giving these forgotten things a little life again.

So this journal spread is for the latest collection of artifacts I’ve accumulated, and the woman I imagine they belonged to. The spread is making its way into Octobers letter! Which will be mailed soon, just a few days later than usual. I promise it’ll be worth the wait!

I just hope whatever I make with them would make her smile… and not have her rolling over in her grave. 😅🧵

Putting the finishing touches on the journal! We are at Sebastian’s homeschool co-op today and the park has the most beautiful live oak trees!
