Yesterday was such a great day! The 🍒 on top was going to the opening art reception for Kostar Kustoms show at 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 and book signing for his and Alice Absolutely’s, Where the Florida things live book! I’ve been following his art for a while and it was great to meet him and we got to have a really nice chat. The book is truly great, how they incorporated local things and conservation into their story and his illustrations are so cool! I think the show will be up all month it was awesome to see the original illustration paintings up on the wall! Thanks Kostar, your manatee lava lamp made it on my cup 🙌.

I started making a perpetual calendar! So basically you have a card for every month (I’m starting to create those ) and a dated ((month day only)) index card for each day of the year. All you do is write the year and a short snippet from your day! It should hold atleast 10 lines and then of course the back. Over time you can look at your cards and remember something from everyday for the last 10+ years!! You can pick anything to hold your calendar. I’m using an antique pantry box from my Grandma Jean to hold mine for now. Some cute ideas I’ve seen are other antique boxes, ceramic berry containers , jewelry boxes, recipe card boxes anything you can imagine!

I planted these babies the other day and watering them has been a fun addition to my morning. In my August letter I talked about curiosity, and how some people create their own personal curriculums to enrich their lives. crossing my fingers and toes that these make it!

My pivot idea to hand sew the Velcro on the curtain was a no go.  However the fact that it had Velcro across the whole curtain backing, made it strong enough to not need to be sewn on. It’s sticking really well to the fabric!!!  so I think it was probably still a better idea if I had gone with the heat pond Velcro thankfully this is working. Next, I’m gonna be adding some star appliqués. I’m really excited to be using the heat transfer paper for this project. If it goes well, I’m hoping to send an extra special surprise in September‘s letter!

If you subscribed in time to receive my August letter you would know that I am working through what I’m calling my autumn curriculum. Just doing things that I’ve wanted to practice and get better at. I also recently moved into a new house and I’m trying to come up with creative solutions for storage. I’m currently using an open shelf for a tv stand AND pantry storage. I don’t wanna stare at those items while we are using the TV so I’m creating a curtain to cover it up using Velcro to attach/detach. I promise this is all gonna tie in to September‘s letter even if it’s sewing.

One of my good friends and subscribers made a really cool bookmark from one of my letters. The other day when I was journaling all of these magnificent happy mails and I had so many cool elements that deserved a bit more than journaling. I remembered my friend and made some bookmarks myself!! Fyi i haven’t checked yet but USA . usually has inexpensive laminators and sheets this back to school time of year. Oh my gosh this letter ya’ll. All of ⁂ breakfast club | bash 🙌. This one about made me cry. Simple foods, lasting memories. Working hard towards her dreams and goals but having fun along the way. The art is stunning, the stickers and make your own pizza too!!

I could relate to this letter from sunday breakfast club | bash ! I actually just accidentally made my coffee backwards 🤦🏻‍♀️ I put the instant espresso into the coffee pot instead of the grounds. Now I have like 6 shots of espresso…can’t say that I didn’t need that extra energy 🤣
