It’s OKAY! I’m okay! I promise!! I’m not sad, anxious or depressed about this. I feel FREE. I haven’t FELT THIS GOOD or been this EXCITED in sooo long!!!
To address some Q’s I’ve answered in DM’s & texts (bc I storied this like a moron before making it a grid post 😶🌫️): I’m NOT moving to Paris, dying, or filing for bankruptcy 😂. I realized this was happening once I arrived in Copenhagen.
Could there be another brick & mortar someday? Sure! I’m VERY open to that. Owning a clothing store was a dream of mine since I was a kid, and I got to do it for almost 6 years!
The immediate “plan”: put all 2,500 pieces of inventory up on The Store’s website 😵💫. That is its own full time job & won’t start until mid Sept… Hopefully done by NOV-ish. ((Also, if that’s something you or someone you know is skilled at, I’ll pay you to help!)) A friend and I were joking that the online name could evolve from The STORE, to ——> The STORAGE UNIT 🤣
Then there’s the clothing lines I’ve co-designed with friends: CVM denim, A Girl and A Shirt, House of Paulette, and more on the way! The Store’s Substack, “STORE”. What could all of THAT become if I actually have time to focus on it? Who knows!
I owe a separate post to not only ALLLLL of the people who helped make The (physical) Store possible, but to everyone who’s followed along, told a friend, shown up in some way, said encouraging things, or found and loved clothing, shoes or accessories the way I hoped you would. The Store allowed me to meet SO many YOU and I CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH. I appreciate you. I am hugging you!!!
All I know for now is, I’ve never been more excited for what’s NEXT. I have a feeling this is going to be the best & luckiest chapter since moving to LA from Michigan at 19!!!! Cheers everyone!!! ♥️
