I wasn’t ready for this one. Darius brought us a dope collection of sealed Pirates of the Caribbean and ‘06 Batman sets. He bought the sets as a kid and put them on a shelf with plans to resell them later. He got paid $11,500 and plans to give the money to his dad.

Matt needed his LEGO collection gone. He emailed us a list, and we made a deal. We got in a car and drove to Indiana, inventoried everything he wanted to sell and paid him out. We needed a 26 foot U-Haul to transfer it all. It was mostly sealed sets from the last 5 years, but they were boxed up so it didn’t make for as interesting of a video. Hence why most of this video shows his used sets. He displayed them very well, and they weren’t even dusty! He decided to sell the majority of the collection because he originally planned to hold them and give them to his daughter to sell. His daughter wasn’t interested in selling them all off or inheriting them so he decided to sell them in one go to Wapi Bricks!

Kon is a LEGO fan, especially Super Heroes and Modular Buildings, so we got to show him around the store, talk LEGO, and even help him buy some retired sets for the first time.

We also surprised him with 25 custom printed Kon Knueppel LEGO minifigures.

Kon kept 19, Zach kept one, and Kon signed the remaining 5. We’ll be auctioning all 5 signed minifigures on Whatnot this Saturday, August 15th starting at 10am, with 100% of the proceeds going to Kon’s charity of choice, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa, WI.

And yes, we had to sneak in a 1v1 while he was here.

It went about as well for me as you’d expect.

NBA Star Kon Knueppel came to Wapi Bricks!

It was an absolute pleasure to get to know Kon and show him around the store. He’s a down to earth, humble guy that enjoys the LEGO hobby, specifically Super Heroes and Modular Buildings. He even bought retired sets for the first time!

We also gave him 25 custom printed Kon Knueppel LEGO minifigures. He’s keeping 19, our owner Zach kept one, and the other 5 he signed and will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to Kon’s charity of choice, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa, WI.

It’s Wapi Bricks 4 Year Anniversary this weekend, and we have a lot going on to celebrate!

We will be giving away three brand new LEGO sets. The Ferris Wheel, Razor Crest, and Tower Bridge. Everyone who comes into the store during the anniversary event will get one entry for a chance to win one of the sets.

We are also giving everyone who comes into the store one small bag of LEGO parts and one build your own minifigure. Limit one per person.

On top of that, we are doing double rewards all weekend. That means you will get 10 dollars back for every 100 dollars spent instead of 5 dollars. Double rewards also applies online at wapibricks.com.

We will also be running a huge Whatnot stream on Saturday as part of the anniversary. We will have a separate post with more details on that soon.

Zach will also be in the store on Sunday filming for a YouTube video, so come say hi if you see him.
