In honor of my late MIL’s birthday, Blooms is celebrating our 2nd Annual Acts of Kindness Weekend by giving away free mini bouquets on Saturday 7/25 at 9AM on the stand 🌼

Here at Blooms on Thayer I try to keep everything as organic as possible - I do not use any chemical pesticides or insecticides to avoid hurting our friends the pollinators 🐝 I am currently at war with squash vine borers & Japanese beetles so I stay ahead of their destruction with some old fashioned duct tape (pink, duh) to get the squash vine borer eggs as soon as they appear. For Japanese beetle mitigation, I set up a pheromone trap as well as flicking them into a cup of water with a little dish soap 🤭 I know this isn’t for everyone but a lot of you also have your own gardens so figured I would share these tips. Blooms is officially ONE today! 🌸

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I opened the flower stand for the very first time… in the rain 😂 In my defense, it had rained for like 10 weekends in a row, so it had to be done.

What started as a little dream has grown into something so much more and that’s entirely because of all of YOU! Thank you to everyone who has stopped by, bought flowers, shared a post, told a friend, or supported Blooms in any way this past year 🫶🏼
