Cape May / Wildwood Fishing Reports
Surf Anglers have been catching kingfish , croakers, snappers and fluke off the local beaches. Fishbites or bloodworms will work for the croakers and kings, and minnows, Gulp mullet or spearing is best for the fluke. At the reef sites the boaters have been picking away at fluke and some trigger fish.

Surfcasters continue to catch fluke, kingfish, croakers and weakfish on the Cape May beaches. One of our regulars had this nice little 20" weakfish this morning, there was also lots of fluke caught on the beaches this morning as well.

We want to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July. A lot of folks hitting the beaches with temps. reaching 100 today, here's what you can expect to catch from the local beaches in the Wildwood and Cape May areas. Plenty of small fluke up in the shallow water just 5-10 feet off the beach, minnows, spearing and bucktails tipped with Gulp will work best. You can also catch kingfish, croakers and weakfish with bloodworms or Fishbites artificial worms on small hooks (2,4,6 size) . Stop by the shop for more info, tight lines Cape May Bait & Tackle.

Wildwood / Cape May Fishing Report
The summer fish have moved on to the beaches, kingfish, croakers, weakfish and fluke. Best bait for the fluke is gonna be spearing, minnows and bucktails tipped with small gulp swim mullet. As for the other species bloodworms or Fishbites on small hooks (2,4,6) will work well.

A good bite today, bluefish and stripers reported on the bayside beaches on bunker, clams and plugs. The best surf fishing we've seen here in quite a few years.
