🍦Power through the dog days of summer with a delectable maple/coffee twist! Our favorite flavor combo is back for a limited time over at our friends Harrigan's Soft Ice Cream in West Plattsburgh and you know they use the good stuff in their maple creemee! We have been known to stop by during delivery runs to refuel with a Parker Sundae. Substituting the maple/coffee twist in the Sundae gives it the perfect boost to keep us running! πŸ˜‹

We currently have our Coffee β˜• & Maple 🍁 soft ice cream! We make our Maple 🍁 ice cream with real maple syrup from Parker Family Maple Farm!

Have them twisted for a Maple Latte or separately!

🚜 In-between filling maple orders, we've been working long hours in the fields. Although the maple woods is our main cash crop, we farm a variety of other crops in our fields, including hay. We currently have hay and straw bales available for sale in square or round bales. If you are interested in purchasing or have questions, reach out here or call us at 518-493-6761. πŸ‘¨β€πŸŒΎ

πŸ‹ Pro tip for these warm days in the fields is to make maple lemonade to stay hydrated! Just mix lemon juice, water and maple syrup to taste (add a pinch of salt to help replace electrolytes). Stay cool out there! 😎

This week we had the honor of of receiving a visit from our New York State Senator Dan Stec. Senator Stec presented us with the New York State Resolution that he sponsored to recognize our award as New York State Agricultural Business of the Year. During the state senate session in February, this Resolution was read aloud to the entire state senate, telling the story of our multi-generational farm, our achievements in the maple industry and our recent award. We are very grateful for this honor and to the Senator for taking time to catch up with us, as well as, the advocacy that he and our other state representatives do for us in Albany. πŸ™

πŸ€” Apparently, we spoke too soon when we said that our syrup production was over. After a cold snap in the early part of last week, our upper elevations gave us another hurrah of sap. πŸ’¦

πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈ We are calling this the zombie sap run because the season seemed dead, but then it started moving again...the resulting syrup also had a very intense buddy aroma that was zombie-like as well. The quality of this stage is certainly not Grade A and will be sold in the barrels on the bulk market for commercial industrial uses, but it is still valuable enough to justify our cost to produce it. For those wondering what this type of maple syrup tastes like, think of teriyaki or sweet and sour sauce with a strong tangy, sour element. πŸ‹

πŸ“ˆ In the end, this extra run gained us about 2,000 gallons more maple syrup to bring our season total to around 63,000. Now, back to pulling all of those darn spouts while the bugs start eating us alive in the woods. πŸͺ°

Attention maple syrup producers: the barn doors are open and prices are out for bulk syrup buying!

We managed two get two whole nights of sleep since we shut down the sugarhouse and now we are ready to take in barrels at our barn warehouse starting immediately. Please see prices and policies on the attached image and call Mike to make arrangements. All producers are paid in full on the spot (unless other arrangements requested by the producer). For organic pricing, a current organic certificate is required.

For questions and to set up a time, please call or text Mike Parker directly at 518-420-4497

πŸŒ… This Friday's warm evening was the perfect environment to soak in the last drops of maple season 2026. πŸ’§

🏁 As of April 17th, our 2026 maple season is complete. The sap season was good to us, giving sweet sap from the trees and a lot of it. Our season total comes to 61,775 gallons of finished maple syrup, which we are delighted to have made to exceed our goal for the year! It was a fast season this year with the cold winter weather suddenly turning to wide-open maple sap mode that had us all hopping. Our crew handled it so well, working hard day and night in all conditions from scrubbing sap tanks to walking miles of forest to maintain the lines. The work never really stops all year, though, and pulling all of those 100,000 spouts will be the next challenge. Through it all we are exceeding grateful for everyone who has contributed to the success of the 2026 maple season. Thank you to the workers, as well as, the visitors who make it all worth while and remind us how important maple is to our community! πŸ™

😌 Now, we catch up on a little rest (no more all-nighters) and keep on bottling the good stuff for our loyal customers who enjoy this sweet taste of Spring! We hope our fellow maple sugarmakers have also enjoyed a successful maple season and we look forward to catching up soon. β™₯️🍁

🍁 Although the maple season is almost over, we aren't done quite yet. Today, we celebrated reaching our season goal of 60,000 gallons of maple syrup for 2026, WOOHOOO!!! πŸ₯³

πŸ’§ We aren't just resting on our laurels though, as we still have syrup to make. The sap flows have continued, albeit much less in volume and with the usual end-of-the-season buddy flavor. This type of off-flavor maple syrup will not be sold to customers due to its undesirable flavor, but still has value when sold in the barrels, so we will keep making it while we can. Most other maple farms have ended their production season and we know we will be done soon too, but we are glad to get this far and reach our goal for the year. Seeing the red tinge in the forest canopy means the end of maple season, as well as, the beginning of new growth.🌳

P.s. To our fellow maple producers, we will have an update very soon regarding the bulk syrup buying as we transition to the post-season. Bulk syrup prices are being finalized currently and we will post them in the next day or two.
