One of our favorite people

A magical weekend.

The past four days at Harrisburg ‘Horse World Expo’ have come and gone like a whimsical dream. Although we had some struggles in getting there, our experience over the duration was a true blessing. This beautiful picture (captured by the very talented ‘Jodi Smith photography’) is of our final performance in the evening show and our special equine team, working beautifully together, was mimicked by our wonderful human friends and supporters (you know who you are) who all pulled together to allow special moments like this to happen. The way that my own horses performed (with most of the year off whilst we toiled our trade in Australia) was truly special and the wonderful ‘Walkalloosa’ (Tennessee Walker cross Appaloosa) gelding ‘Mick’ that I was able to start under saddle over the four days (who was an A plus student) proved to me that of everything I could have been in this world, that a ‘Lifetime Horseman’ was truly was what I am meant to be.
This was our 15th consecutive year at this world class event and even though it is half away around the world from where I was born and three days drive from where we base our horses in the states, it feels like our home ground stadium and for as many fine performances that we have performed there in the past, I sincerely hope, that this is still, ‘Only the beginning’.
This wonderful team of horses (pictured from left to right’ in ‘Lightning’, ‘Honor’, ‘Champ’, ‘Mate’ and my treasured mount ‘Priefert’s Gift’ weren’t even born yet when we arrived in America in 2010 and although they have been waiting in the wings behind my superstars from Australia, they have now stepped forward into the spotlight, as my number one team here and I couldn’t be prouder of them if I tried.

Dreams, they are born in the darkness of night
But only come true with what’s done in the light
True, the vision is needed, the focus, the sight
But what brings it together, is the grit and the fight.

No matter what is thrown at us, we will continue to see the blessings that surround us in this world and both my beautiful wife ‘Em’ and I are thankful for them all and for all of you that join us on this journey.

✨It’s official. Silva Martin joins the 2025 Kingsview Partners Dressage at Devon Masterclass with Ingrid Klimke, presented by Capital Square, on Thursday, September 25 at 6:00 p.m.

Known for her classical German training and calm effectiveness in the ring, Silva brings a thoughtful approach that fits perfectly with the tone of the evening. Based in Cochranville, Pennsylvania, she and her husband Boyd Martin, a member of the U.S. Eventing Team, own and operate Windurra USA.

Silva will ride Zaphir (Zodiac x Quantas), a 2015 Danish Warmblood gelding currently competing at the Developing Prix St Georges. The pair has been making steady progress since their debut at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival earlier this year, and we cannot wait to see them work with Ingrid.
