NEW HOURS AT MANN TOOL
Starting Nov 2, we’re adjusting our store hours.
The biggest change? We’ll now open at 7 AM Tuesday–Friday, giving contractors, professionals and early risers more time to stop in each day before the workday gets rolling.
• Tuesday–Friday: 7 AM–5 PM
• Saturday: 8 AM–3 PM (Extended from 2 PM)
• Sunday & Monday: Closed
We know closing on Monday is a change, so we’ve extended our hours Tuesday through Friday to make it easier to get what you need during the workweek.
Same great service. More time to shop when we’re open.

To seal or not to seal? That is the question.

A seal coat can help keep air from escaping porous wood and creating bubbles in your main pour. But there's a tradeoff: once you add that layer, timing matters. Pour within the manufacturer's recoat window for a chemical bond; wait too long and you'll need proper surface prep for mechanical adhesion.

Skip the seal coat and you eliminate that extra layer - but you may have more bubbles to manage. Choose wisely. 😉
Neither method is automatically right or wrong. Know the tradeoff before you pour.

Epoxy Series #2: Moisture Matters

A beautiful slab can still be a bad candidate for epoxy if it isn't properly dried. 😳
Start with properly kiln-dried wood and check it with a moisture meter before you pour. Excess moisture can contribute to bubbles, cloudy epoxy, poor adhesion and curing problems.
And kiln drying has another benefit - helping eliminate insects that may still be living inside that gorgeous slab you just brought home.
A few minutes checking now can prevent a very expensive (and gross 🤢) headache later.
