Working for Joyful opened my eyes to a new way of being! I will forever be grateful to my mentor and friend, Barbara Howell for all the things she taught me. My shoppe is, in many ways, an homage to her and to the legacy of the Joyful Alternative. It was open for 35 years by the time it closed, and was a landmark for Columbia and its natives!
