This one's for our mid-century mavens!!

Sam Moore Retro Style Swivel Lounge Chair and Ottoman

We’re obsessed with this retro style swivel chair and ottoman by Sam Moore. The lounge chair leans geometric emphasizing a sleek straight-line design offering a smooth 360 degree swivel! And it’s perfectly paired with the contrasting “roundish” octagonal pouf-styled ottoman trimmed in large brass-tone nail heads. And though a darker tone, the chenille-like upholstery is quintessential mid-century aqua. These pieces were crafted with quality and durability in mind – no doubt - as they are substantial in scale and weight. Arriving without her original back cushion, we improvised with a couple of throw pillows that work perfectly! Our research dates this pair to the 1980-1990s.

Overall, the chair and ottoman are clean and in good preowned condition, showing some color loss on the arms. She’s ready for a new space or new upholstery. Either way, if you’re a lover of mid-century design, you won’t be disappointed with this pair!

American Country Federal Style Sideboard (c. 1800 - 1830)

Based on our extensive research of this beautiful piece, it appears that we have is an American Country Federal bowfront sideboard built with a gorgeous mahogany veneer face and native poplar/pine interiors.

A beautiful piece of early American history this piece features two bow front drawers with brass locks accented with traditional circular stamped ring pulls and a brass gallery. (The silvertone stamped pulls likely replaced the original brass at some point). The drawers display hand-cut dovetails on the front of the drawers with notched corners on the backs - a definitive sign of its country origins. This piece is a rich golden brown with beautiful grain. Rests on tapered legs and spade feet.

The overall condition is very good with imperfections consistent with its age and use. Please see the photos for more details.

Dimensions: 60"w x 25"d x 37"h to the top of the cabinet.
(The brass gallery adds an additional 8" of height).
