Adding to Mike McCarville's post about the NNGC 2026...
I finally committed to being there!
After more than 30 years of attending conventions and shows around the country, I think I may have hit my "I'm tired of driving" wall. I had decided to sit this one out, but after giving it some more thought—and after hearing from a number of customers and friends—I decided I wasn't quite ready to miss another National Narrow Gauge Convention.
So, Banta Modelworks will be in Minneapolis after all!
This year will be a little different. I'll be flying and shipping the product to the convention, so I probably won't have my usual display of built-up models. I'll also be a little more limited in both the variety and quantity of kits I'll be able to bring. I'll do my best to have a good cross-section of the product line available, but with shipping constraints I simply can't bring everything.
If there's a particular Banta Modelworks kit you've been hoping to see or purchase, let me know in the comments or send me a message. While I can't guarantee I'll be able to bring every request, I'll certainly do my best to include it in the shipment.
I'm looking forward to catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and, as always, talking model railroading. One of the best parts of these conventions has always been the people, and that's ultimately what convinced me to make the trip.
