It’s finally official. 💛

Seeing the announcement from the D300 Food Pantry makes it feel so real now. This moment is bittersweet for us, undeniably sad, but also incredibly meaningful and joyful knowing that we were able to give back to the community that has given us so much.

Donating our candy to support local families feels like the right way to close this chapter: with gratitude, care, and love for the place we call home.

As corny (and maybe a little cringey) as this sounds, this is not goodbye. It’s “a see you later.” Please keep us with you, because we’ll be back, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. 💕

Candy Quest a store in West Dundee, recently closed. Their owners Bill (pictured here) and Michelle Wright have donated product to the food pantry over the past few years. With the closing of their store they donated their remaining stock to the D300 Food Pantry. Our shoppers can look forward to enjoying these sweet treats over the next few months. Best of luck to the Wright’s in their future endeavors!

Slowly cleaning out the store has been harder than we ever imagined. 💔

If you’ve driven by recently, you may have noticed a HUGE change... there is zero candy left in our store.

While this moment is painful, we’re choosing to find meaning in it. We donated all of our candy, about $9,000 worth, to the D300 Food Pantry, giving it a second life and helping families right here in our community. 🍬❤️

Knowing our candy will bring smiles to others helps us smile a little through the hurt.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support you’ve shown us. This isn’t goodbye; we’ll be back shortly, and we wish each and every one of you a wonderful New Year. ✨

💛 Happy Holidays from Candy Quest 💛

As this year comes to an end, we want to thank each and every one of you who visited our store this year and last year. Your smiles, conversations, traditions, and support meant more to us than we can ever put into words. We miss seeing all of you more than you know.

Right now, we are getting ready to begin packing up the store, and it has been incredibly hard. One of the owners nearly cried yesterday just picking something up; it all holds so many memories. By the end of the year, the store will be cleaned out, and while we know it’s what needs to happen, it truly hurts.

That said, we are deeply grateful for the wonderful memories we made together. This shop was never just candy; it was connection, joy, and community. And this is not goodbye forever. Once our family member is back in good health, we fully intend to be back again.

Thank you for loving our little candy store as much as we did. We wish you a warm, peaceful holiday season and look forward to sweeter days ahead. 🍬✨

Today is the day. 💔

After so many memories, laughs, and adventures, Candy Quest is officially closing its doors tonight.

This isn’t easy to write, but we want to thank every single one of you who has supported us along the way, from the families who made us part of their weekend routine, to the kids who lit up when they saw their favorite candy, to the gamers who shared in our love of the classics.

If you’d like to stop by one last time, today’s your chance. Come say hi, share a memory, grab a sweet treat, and help us close out this chapter the way it deserves.

Tonight was our very last Dungeons & Dragons session at Candy Quest, and what a night it was. We had an amazing turnout, our fearless DM came dressed to the nines, and the room was full of laughter, dice rolls, and that spark of imagination that only D&D can bring.

Over the past year and a half, we’ve seen so many incredible adventures play out around these tables. Heroes were born, worlds were saved (and sometimes destroyed), and friendships were forged. Whether you joined us once or you’ve been here every week, you were part of something special — and we can’t thank you enough.

D&D nights weren’t just about the game; they were about community. Watching kids and adults sit side by side, telling stories, cheering each other on, and escaping into a world of magic and possibility — that’s the heart of what we wanted Candy Quest to be.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every adventurer who rolled the dice with us. You’ve made memories here that will last long after the final session. ❤️🎲🐉

Tonight marks the end of a chapter here at Candy Quest — our final Dungeons & Dragons session at the store.
