Peeled back the curtain on 2022 to take it all in. With lobstering under fire, inflation, and the boat market slowing down it definitely seemed like an uncertain winter season in the shop. Sitting up where the office is going to be built, I’m grateful to have a full shop for the winter and another season full of trap orders for cheers to 2023

New one for me. A straight forward 48x22.5x15 7”,6”5” hoops. But went with the plastic chaffing gear. Learned real quick to make to a jig to drill and cut after the first couple. I tried a couple different methods that other builders use and ended up going with the hog rings on top and stapled junglewood along the sides and hammered in. Came out tight to the trap and stiff. First few I built I realized the staples didn’t land far enough in with the corner bracing so I wrapped the ends double in each mesh. A 4 point bungee to finish it off

The Harpswell 2022 boat race donation traps. All tickets were passed out or bought by locals after the races. 5 traps have not been claimed. If you won a free trap from the races please contact us! If they’re not claimed by 12/31 then they will be raffled off and 100% will go to the race committee! You may keep your certificate but they will come out of another batch next year.

Been slacking on the gram, have another order coming out next week and plenty projects still to come! With the uncertainty of the industry and everything going on. I appreciate the patience of the customers with delays in materials. Finished these after the blue 3’

50- 48x24x15 all blacks, junglewood and ergo bricks. Offset parlor ergo to account for prop wash. Played with different vent arrangements there’s a few different sets in the pile. Also the remainder of these got Cappy doors as the doors came in a mesh oversize.

Yearly 25 for the squirrel 🐿 couple with hakes and the handknits in these were the last ones my dad tied before he passed away last year. Jungle wood runners and Searose cements.

Teamed up with Jimmy from JR trap for these ones. He needed some heads done quick for an order of 180 - 54x27x15 all 10g 😳 luckily I’m finally ahead of schedule for heads atleast while on the tug and was able to hook him up. Beautiful traps 🤙🏼🤙🏼

Started on the next batch, 50 - 48x22.5x15 10g both ends with a bend over and bridges. Skid plates corner guards and a edge protector on the haul end. Double slammer bungees and a door hook. Always like the blue/blue/blue head combo seems fishy 🤙🏼🦞
