When I first moved to LA in 1989 I played at a club called the Breakaway with my musical partner Mark Mugrage. It was there that I first met Lucy Hagan.
A terrific songwriter and singer who was born with a tumor that kept her in a wheelchair her whole life. She overcame her disability to become a great songwriter, actress and singer. We formed a trio and performed all around Los Angeles and when she performed on her own I was her backup guitarist. The three of us recorded an album of my songs called Streets Cracked. We had a falling out in the mid nineties and only spoke once or twice since then. Today I found out that she had passed away in 2021. She was a beautiful person who brought a lot of joy to me and all who knew her. This is my favorite song that she sang on because it displays what a unique talent she had. Don’t let small things get in the way of true friendship as life is to short. Bye Lucy , Heaven has a very special person singing to the angels!
