🍂 Fall has officially arrived in the flower field. 🍂

The first pumpkin on a stick has made it into the bouquets! 🌿🎃 I am not kidding -- this is not a Hobby Lobby plastic charm, It is a real true cut "flower" grown right here in West Lafayette. We'll have them in bouquets this weekend and next weekend.

Add in broom corn, burgundies, oranges, golden yellows, dahlias, zinnias and all those amazing fall textures -- and the bouquets are looking like October.

This is the kind of jewel tone color combination I love all year long.

If you've been meaning to come get some flowers, now is the time. You have only a couple more weeks of flowers before frost brings the season to a close.

💐 Homecoming is this weekend!

If you have a student heading to Homecoming this weekend, I can help with the flowers. ❤️

I'm making locally grown Homecoming bouquets, neatly wrapped and finished with a subtle sparkly ribbon -- pretty, special, and ready to hand to your favorite Homecoming date.

And because they're made here at the farm, I can work with your colors to create something that feels personal and unique.

I already have a couple of Hoco orders on the books, and I'd love to make a few more!

What a weekend. 🧡

First, a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Abundance Flower Farm flower stand in West Lafayette this weekend. I'm so grateful for every person who came and especially for the familiar faces who keep coming back week after week. Your support means more than you know.🌸

And then there was our beautiful afternoon at Rose & Wick in downtown Lafayette for our fall flower arranging workshop!

It was just the kind of afternoon I love -- relaxed, creative, and full beautiful flowers. We had the first harvest of eucalyptus, broom corn and amaranth, dahlias and zinnias, and many gorgeous combinations taking shape around the room.

Everyone started with the same ingredients, but every bouquet turned out differently. That's one of my favorite things about arranging flowers -- there really is no single right way to make something beautiful.

A huge thank you to Rose and Wick for hosting us and creating such a lovely space for an afternoon of flowers and creativity. And thank you to everyone who came and played with flowers with me! 🌿🌸

I'm already looking forward to the next one! And to all of you who continue to show up for my little flower farm -- thank you. Truly. 🧡

🍂 I saw orange in the flower field tonight. 🍂

The first little pumpkin on a stick is starting to turn orange -- and I'm ridiculously excited about it. 😂

We're not quite ready for a whole harvest yet, But it's pretty good sign that fall is officially making its way into the flower field.

And with the cooler weather, the flowers are changing, too.

This weekend's bouquets will have warm bright colors, more beady textured broom corn, lots of zinnias, and another beautiful round of dahlias from my local flower farmer friend. 🌸

I love this part of the season -- rich jewel tones, fall textures, and a large variety of flowers.

Last week, 54 hellebores went into the ground at Abundance Flower Farm.

And this November, another 100 peony plants will arrive.

Why so many spring flowers?

Because spring is when I see just how much our community loves locally grown flowers. The demand for early season blooms has been incredible and I'm listening.

A flower farm is always a little bit about patience. You plant something now, take care of the soil, wait through the seasons, and trust that someday those tiny plants will become flowers that someone will carry home.

So while I'm still harvesting dahlias and zinnias and enjoying every bit of late summer, I'm already thinking about next spring. 🌸

More tulips. More peonies. More hellebores. more locally grown flowers for our community.

It takes a lot of planning -- and a lot of planting -- to keep the flowers coming. 💚

And I can't wait to see what these 154 new plants become!

🌸 Two bouquet moods are happening at the farm this weekend. 🌸

🌻 Bright and cheerful -- Salmon zinnias, sunflowers and all the happy colors that still say summer isn't over yet!

And I have to tell you, the flower field gave me a little scare after that first huge storm earlier this week. I was worried about the sunflowers -- but they all stood back up straight. Huge relief! 🌻

So we're still blooming, still harvesting, and getting ready for another beautiful weekend at the farm stand.

💐 What a weekend. Thank you. 💐

Another sellout at the flower stand, and I am feeling incredibly grateful for this community.

What makes me happiest isn't just seeing the bouquets leave the stand -- it's hearing where they go.

Some are carried across town. Some are traveling far and wide. Some become encouragement for someone going through a hard time, get-well gifts, birthday surprises, or flowers for someone who simply needs to know they're loved.

And then there are the special days.

This week I'm growing flowers for a celebration of life. Next week flowers for a wildflower themed baby shower and a workshop with Rose & Wick. The weekend after that, flowers for a local farm event and a bloom bar.

It's pretty amazing to think about these little flowers growing right here in West Lafayette and then becoming part of so many important moments.

I feel truly honored that you trust me with your flowers. ❤️

And don't worry -- there will be more flowers this weekend! The field keeps blooming, and I'm already harvesting for the next round.
