FOUR SEATS LEFT! It’s the 50th Anniversary of the Judgment of Paris, the 1976 wine tasting pitting California wines against the great estates of France that shocked the wine world.

Tomorrow Krista Church walk you through a flight of current vintage whites and reds from some of the greatest producers featured in the legendary head-to-head tasting. Seatings at noon and 5pm.

We’re telling the whole story- filled with lawsuits, outrage, and a scathing look at the 2008 “film” Bottle Shock, featuring Alan Rickman and Chris Pine’s wig.

This week we’re honoring the recent passing of David Hirsh, California wine legend and viticulturist who shaped the West Sonoma Coast. He passed the first day of harvest, which is heartbreaking but fitting of a man who would still tend to the vines on an ATV with hand controls. He unfortunately developed a taste for Burgundy (same) and was moved in 1978 to purchase a sheep farm high on the wind-swept ridges of the Sonoma Coast. An early proponent of Biodynamic agriculture, he tended the vines for 45 years and made a profound impact on the California wine landscape.

We toast to him with a three or four wine flight, available a la carte or as a tasting.

Join NV AGM .burg aka Thomy Sheehy for an exploration of the *other* sides of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir (though knowing us there still might be Burgundy). Our noon section is sold out but a lucky few can grab seats for our 5pm class. With wine pairings by it’s bound to be a delicious slice of Sunday sipping.
