I couldn’t figure out why my ZZ stopped putting out new growth. I always read they like to be root bound so in my year of owning her I never repotted since shes always been healthy.

Well the reason she wasn’t putting out new growth is there was no room for the roots to go because the existing bulbs/root system consumed 75% of the soil and took shape of the pot. (Took a good hour to detangle and remove dead roots)

Every one of these pots is full of healthy bulbs waiting to push out new stems.

So I will grow, and combine to create the ultimate ZZ. (See photo 3)

Been doing lots of reorganizing lately and it’s so satisfying!

1- Succulent Orb “Curtain” for the kitchen sink window

2- Pothos: satin(scindapsus), neon, njoy, manjula and marble queen

3- Philodendron: mixed pot, brazil(thriving in water), heart leaf, lemon lime and micans (my current favorite plant)

4&5- Tradescantia: callisia repens, zebrina silver plus, zebrina burgundy, baby bunny bellies, fluminensis, fluminensis variegata, nanouk and Purple Heart.
