Mr. Toomey's baritone guitar is on its way to him. Before packaging it for the trip, I assaulted the strings a bit. Most of my time is spent building and I don't get in much playing time. Mr. Toomey will play better. Peace and thank you for watching the building of this instrument.

I do like Wilkinson guitar parts. They are of good quality and the price is nice. Here is something true. Anything that is made can be defective. One of the machine heads locked up and would not turn. I did not want to fall behind on making final assembly on Mr. Toomey's baritone, so I filed the claim with Amazon and got them on the way back to them. We have an Amazon distribution center right outside of Monroe. The same day I sent them back, a new set arrived. Now that's the way you do it. Peace.

Several posts back I told you I would come back to the subject of quartersawn wood. That is the strongest way to cut a piece of wood. If you look at the end of a board and see the grain running up and down, that is quartersawn. This is the neck for Mr. Toomey's baritone guitar. Peace.

I like to let an instrument alone for two weeks after spraying the finish. A finish actually takes a full 90 days to cure, but after two weeks, I can handle it without doing any harm to the finish. I have built baritone guitars before, but it has been a while. When I was younger, I could remember better. Final assembly is going to take a bit longer on Mr. Toomey's instrument as I pay close attention to what needs to be done. Peace.

Last post on Mr. Justin Paxton's Eastman guitar that had the top seem separating. After I sealed the seem from the inside, I removed the tape. The place of separation is still visible but is filled with the resin I used. If I try to pull that seem back together, the wood is going to crack somewhere else. To make it look like it had never been injured, I would need to refinish the top. The finish on this instrument is too good to justify that. Peace.

Trying to choose a pickup for your acoustic guitar can be a bit overwhelming. Too many choices. Mr. Hancock chose a sound hole type. It came with tone and volume controls, which I forgot to take a picture of. That's how I do. Peace.
