Growing up I never thought anyone would define Pro Wrestling like Hulk Hogan did, he was larger than life. But little did I know a young brash real life action figure from West Newbury Mass would slowly but surely take that spot over. The term “G.O.A.T” is thrown around a lot these days, only a few people really deserve it, and if your Name isn’t Jordan, Gretzky, Tiger, Brady, Or Mantle then sit down. But there is no doubt in my mind we got to witness the GOAT of Professional Wrestling. The never seen 17 time world Champion. Now while his accomplishments inside the squared circle were profound……his G.O.A.T status in another field is really his most impressive. John Cena is the GOAT of the Make a wish foundation. A foundation that literally makes dreams come true for sick children. John has granted more wishes than any other human on this planet, and he doesn’t just show up say what’s up and toss them a t-shirt, he is genuinely is happy to be there and to listen to the praise from the child and there parents, he is extremely humble and you can see he isn’t comfortable with all the praise. He has granted 650+ wishes ( maybe more by now, that data may be outdated) for that organization and that in-fact makes him a real life “Super Hero” John’s Last match before retirement is this Saturday night, and I can’t wait to see the Greatest Professional Wrestler of all time lace up the Jorts one last time. To a wide eyed 8 year old, Hulk Hogan was a real life Action figure, a true sight to behold, from the fist time I laid eyes on the man I was hooked, I ate my Vitamins, said my prayers, and drank the proverbial Koolaide. The man defined what it meant to be a pro wrestler and revolutionized the entire business, if you have ever enjoyed one second of modern professional wrestling, it was due in part to this man. Today I choose to remember the character that was Hulk Hogan, the “whatcha gonna do Brothers” and the 24 inch pythons. and thank him for the many memories and helping to spark a lifelong fan. And for bringing a father and son closer together with their mutual enjoyment of his entertainment. Many a hours my old man and I sat watching wrestling, some of my favorite memories with my dad were with this man as the backdrop, so for this we say…………..”Whatcha gonna do pearly gates when Hulk Hogan and all the Hulkamaniacs Run wild on the afterlife. RIP Hulkster

I Have been appreciating his music since I was young man, my friends and I made 3 epic trips to see Ozzfest at Saratoga Performing Arts center in my teens. My first time seeing him live was like a fever dream, we sat and watched in awe as Oz took the stage, I couldn’t take my eyes off him. It was a perfect mix of teenage angst, Mr. Boston Vodka, and the single greatest Front man of any Rock/Metal band of all time. He had us captivated, never stopped moving ( this was 1998 so he was 50 ) literally every time I saw the man live I felt like he was giving the performance of a lifetime. And I know everyone who ever saw him live felt the same way. And you could feel it back, you could feel that he loved his fans as much as we loved him. And not one single part of it would have been possible without the Queen of Darkness his lovely wife Sharon, the architect of Ozzfest. Thank you Sharon for making it possible. Thanks Oz for the memories and the music. I hope you find some peace in your retirement, wait what the F@$K am I saying, your the Fu***ng Prince of Darkness, and defined what it means to be a Rock Star, I hope you kick retirements fu***ng ass…….. 🦇⚰️🤘💜

When you hug your Dad today, take a second and indulge it, remember how he smells, what his arms feel like when he wraps you up, take a second to notice exactly how it feels. Linger in it, because we never know when our last hug will be. I can tell you when Jack hugged you, it most likely smelled like sawdust and w**d, and for me his boney little arms would poke into my side , and if it had been awhile, he would hug you so long, and when you went to pull away, he would pull me in closer and say “sorry not yet buddy” and in that moment you knew how loved you were. You didn’t have to question it, he made it known. Dad I would give every single worldly possession up for one more Boney elbow hug, I miss your face, you made my life better. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there today, and if you are missing your dad and need a hug, I have kinda boney elbows too 💜

I know Grandpa Jack is smiling big today, I hope you get all the cake,Transformers, and ballon’s your little hands can hold. Happy 75th Birthday Day Dad, all your kids celebrated you today, one had Chocolate Milk and cottage cheese with an abnormal amount of black pepper, one took your Grandson out to your favorite restaurant and sat in your booth, and one handed out Party loot bags all over Rochester today……….. Hope your blow’in a fatty and having an “Small Deborah” up there Pops, we miss your Face ❤️
