Humphrey's BBQ BBQ Smokers, Grills, Rubs, Sauces, and outdoor cooking tools and accessories. The Humphrey Smoker was developed and will be in production in early 2013.

Nestled in the woods of South Western Maine you will find Chad & Nicole Humphrey designing and developing new and exciting BBQ accessories, giving an old pit a new chance at life, or developing their new line of BBQ Smokers, The Humphrey Smoker. Since 2010 Competition teams, caterers, restaurant owners from all over the country have sent their cookers in to be rebuilt or enhanced because they know

they that they will receive a fix that will meet or exceed their expectations at a fair price. In 2012 the decision was made to start prototyping a cooker that filled the short comings of other manufacturer’s products and the Humphrey Smoker project was started. The Humphrey Smoker prototype was used in a commercial cooking environment at several events by Chaddy Daddy’s BBQ Shack and in KCBS Competition by The Meat Fairy. With the 2012 Vending and Competition season completed we were able to evaluate all of the feedback and data that we obtained and make changes to enhance the prototype and develop a line of cookers that fit several scenarios. We will still offer a full and growing line, of BBQ Accessories, and restore and enhance other manufacturer’s cookers.

One of the most anticipated events at Kora Kares for Kids is back!

Team Humphreys vs. Team Bone Patrol

🏆 Nicole and Team Bone Patrol return as the defending champions, but Chad and Team Humphreys are determined to take the title this year.

Both teams will be cooking premium Compart Duroc ribs before the ultimate showdown... the Rib Auction!

🥃🔥 WE’RE GOING BACK TO THE JACK! 🔥🥃

There are some calls in competition BBQ that just hit a little differently… and seeing Humphrey’s BBQ get pulled to represent Maine is incredible and to know that we are the only Maine team to ever compete at the Jack leaves me speechless.

We are incredibly proud and grateful to be heading back to Lynchburg for the 2026 Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue! 🖤

Competition BBQ has given us so many incredible memories, friendships, miles on the road, long nights tending fires, big wins, tough losses and plenty of lessons along the way. Getting the opportunity to cook The Jack again means more to us than we can put into words.

🎉 It's one of the most exciting days of the BBQ season... JACK DRAW DAY! 🎉

For those outside the competition BBQ world, every Grand Champion at a qualifying contest earns a "b**g"—the wooden plug from a Jack Daniel's whiskey barrel. Those b**gs are placed into state bags, and today, one by one, they're pulled to determine who receives an invitation to cook at the prestigious Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational Barbecue in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It's a tradition unlike any other in BBQ, where hard work earns you a shot... and then Lady Luck takes over.

So today we're joining hundreds of teams across the country, refreshing our phones, holding our breath, and hoping those magical words are called...

ALL SLOTS FULL 🏆 NEW FOR KORA KARE FOR KIDS 2026! 🏆

We're excited to announce a brand-new competition happening alongside our KCBS BBQ Contest!

🔥 The Kora Kare for Kids 12-Team Shootout 🔥

Twelve competition BBQ teams will have the opportunity to submit an additional turn-in box that will be judged by 12 VIP public and sponsor judges who have paid to be part of this unique experience. These judges will receive the exact same championship-caliber BBQ being presented to the KCBS Certified BBQ Judges!

How it works:
✅ 12 teams will be selected to participate.
✅ Turn-in boxes will be provided.
✅ Teams may use KCBS-approved garnish or CBA-style aluminum foil.
✅ Entries will be judged using a separate scoring system.
✅ Scores will not affect the official KCBS contest.

🥇 The Grand Champion of the 12-Team Shootout will receive a custom Humphrey's BBQ Trophy, with the winner announced during the official KCBS Awards Ceremony!

❤️ Best of all, all proceeds from the judges' participation go directly to Shriners Hospitals for Children, helping provide life-changing care to children regardless of a family's ability to pay.

This is a great opportunity for the public and our sponsors to experience championship BBQ while making a real difference for an incredible cause.
