Several years ago we were approached by Europe’s largest manufacturer of fine OEM (factory) wooden stocks - laminates, walnut and even maple - to be their exclusive aftermarket distributor in the U.S.A.. These folks make everything from simple military stocks to the finest exhibition-grade walnut stocks in the world. Beretta, Krieghoff, Bl**er, Weatherby, Benelli, Merkel - the finest sporting arms in the world, many selling well into the 5-figure range, are stocked with their stocks.

The LRC Sporter is a familiar classic style stock. It also weighs about 25% less than its sister models. We achieve this weight reduction not only with a more compact design, but also in leiu of the removable forend inserts we thickened the side walls along the inside barrel channel and added some composite reinforcement just ahead of the recoil lug. Combined with the proven, overmolded Accublock chassis and I’m sure you’ll agree its a winning combination at a very reasonable price.

Interestingly, the actual design of a composite thumbhole stock is usually limited by the manufacturing process. Not these, our process gives us almost unlimited design flexibility. Because of the strength of our material and the nature of our proprietary manufacturing process, we were able to redesign the thumbhole itself, rescue it from its limitations and make it so comfortable - even people that “don’t like thumbholes” are going to get along with the LRC Thumbhole just fine.

When LSI asked us to develop a carbon lay-up stock for the excellent 1500 Mini action we were definitely up to the challenge. But the one thing we did not want to do is take an existing model designed for the full-size 1500 and simply inlet for the Mini receiver. We wanted a stock scaled perfectly for the use.
