FIFTY boxes on the way! Few more next week. Thank you everyone!

Today we shipped out FIFTY big boxes of donations to the Combat Engineer Unit over in the sandbox. We did this for 19 years at Christmas but had a 4 year gap so we started the Veterans Christmas Dinner to keep doing something for our servicemembers. (This year December 17). Cards went in every box with names of all who helped make this happen. We will ship a few more next week but the big pile is on the way! Thank you everyone!

Boxes for the troops update.

We are working on packing boxes today and have noticed a handful of items that we are still looking to add to boxes.

EDIT: If you have already collected stuff, we want to ship it. This post is just an update to what we could use more of.

Still Could Use:
Foot powder, coffee (small packs or bricks easiest), ramon noodles, faminine products such as wipes, tampons, and pads.
Individual oatmeal packs, trail mix, and small snack items.

We are still accepting cash/check donations for cost of shipping. That alone is going to be quiet a bit.

Items we have a lot of so far: candy and playing cards.

Update on shipping: We have extending the shipping due to the unit being relocated. We are waiting on the new address to ship to, so please don't feel rushed and if you were afraid of missing a deadline you still have time!
We will keep you posted on the new shipping date!

Bethany Falkner packing boxes. Thank you all.

Boxes for the troop drive being staged and packed. We have a little more time as the unit changes bases. We could use more foil bricks of coffee and some feminine stuff as there are 6 women in the unit. We will continue packing next week. THANK YOU everyone. We will put the kids cards in every box but also a "thank you" card in every box naming everyone we can that donated. This is not about us. This is about the troops.
