THANK YOU Mississippi Magazine readers for voting Culin-Arts one of the Best Kitchen Shops (culinary stores) in Mississippi.....8th time!! From my teen years, I've ALWAYS loved kitchen stores. When we would go to the Mall and it had a kitchen shop, I'd tell my parents, "I'll be in the kitchen shop".....and I STILL AM. 😊 From working in the test kitchen at Bryan Foods, to catering, to taking courses at the Culinary Institute Of America (Hyde park and Nappa Valley), to Director of Food and Beverage and R&D at McAllister 's Corp, to writing the curriculum that went before the State College Board for the Culinary Arts Institute at MUW and working with the architect for the first kitchen's plans/design, to Culin-Arts......"food" is in me and what I do. Come see what all Culin-Arts and West Point has to offer.....enough for a good day trip with shopping, lunch and dinner!!

Shop for Mother's Day gifts early this week as a downtown event will have parts of Commerce St and Broad blocked off Thursday evening through Saturday night. Commerce St, from Main St to Jordan Ave, will be open, but parking will be a challenge Friday afternoon and Saturday. Culin-Arts will be open all week, but may close early late Friday afternoon and possibly Saturday due to parking challenges. There will be detours in town and you must enter Commerce St off of Main St. Come by and see what Culin-Arts has to brighten her Mother's Day!

Restocked on Bumblebee Pottery by Helene Fielder. Born in France, she met and married a Mississippi man stationed at a military base in France. She has been in Mississippi over 40 years and has been making pottery for 50 years. Her pottery is a true art form but very functional as it's oven, microwave and dishwasher safe, meaning food safe. Stop by and get your favorite piece or gift a piece. I call it functional ART!!
