Join us at Wild Daisy Books for an afternoon with author Rachel Beanland! Rachel will be here from 12–2 PM signing copies of her newest novel, The Half Life.

And come hungry because A Bite To Eat, LLC will also be at the shop from 11 AM–3 PM serving up some delicious lunch items for you!

Why does the same new book sometimes cost less online? Let’s break it down. 📚

The price printed on a book is set by the publisher—not the bookstore. Independent bookstores purchase new books at wholesale and then sell them at the publisher’s listed price. Large online retailers can afford to discount books much more heavily, but a small shop like Wild Daisy Books simply can’t always match those prices and still keep the doors open.

And we understand—sometimes the lowest price is what works best for your family! This isn’t meant to make anyone feel guilty. We just wanted to offer a little peek behind the shelves and explain why shopping at an independent bookstore may sometimes cost a few dollars more.

When you purchase a new or used book, place a preorder or special order, pick up a gift card, attend an event or simply tell a friend about us, you’re helping keep a little independent bookstore right here in West Point. Every bit of support truly matters, and we are so grateful for it 💛
