My skin was thick with street dust,
a map of mistakes and hard-won fights.
I spoke in curses and silence.
My past was a fist,
my future a knife.
Then you came, a small, warm sun,
and burned away the shadows in my chest.
I learned the shape of a hug,
the sound of a real laugh,
and the weight of a quiet trust.
I was safe. I was good.
But the pack's howl lingered on the wind,
a call to return to the hunt.
The gentle things I learned felt like a lie,
a borrowed skin I was told to wear.
So I shed the disguise of peace
and went back into the dark.

Oh, how it hurts, not a single day goes by that your not missed. I love you, Rey, more than anybody could understand. You were who you were, and I loved every day of it. Good, bad, and ugly! To the children Who Has to Wake up Fathers Day Without Her Daddy,

I get it.

I get that he was the last thing on your mind when you went to bed Saturday night, and he was the very first thing on your mind when you woke up this morning.

I get it.

I get the broken heart, the lump in your throat; that physical ache deep, deep down in your belly.

I get it.

I get the wanting of him; the needing of him. I get the longing for even just one more moment with him.

I get it.

I get that pang that your chest feels when the phone rings, and your mind fleets (for even just a moment) when you think it could be him.

I get it.

I get that yearning for just one more conversation, just one more piece of advice, just one more comforting hug (because is there anything better than a daddy hug? the answer is no).

I get it.

I get the fake smile that you will wear, the forced laughter that you will have, the “Yeah, I’m okay. Thanks for asking” that you will respond with on this day.

I get it.

So, children Who Has to Wake up Fathers Day Without Her Daddy,

While on this day you may feel more alone than ever,

Please know that you are not.

Because these kids right here, the one who has to wake up on Fathers Day without our daddy?

She gets you.

She really, really gets you.

biiish where do I start..... you came into my life at a time I didn't know I needed somebody like you! We have been thu hell and back together last year we cried together laughed together. Thus year.... We have shared traumas and bounded thu them. Things that would separated others brought us closer. We partied every DAYM WEEKEND! And we have cried all week together. You have shown up at my door at 1 am with out me asking but cause one of the scariest things in my life happned n bitch been shot 🤣 but no as soon as I called you you showed up pj's and all and said what do I got to do how can I help and you stayed for the next week helping me thu that trauma. We have had a fuqed up year girl and we do it with a smile, but when it's me n you the waterworks start flowing. I'm sorry your going thu what you are at the same time I'm going the same thing but honestly I couldn't gotten thu it with out you. Thank you for being my shoulder and my rock and picking me up when I can't. Thank you for letting me love your babies as my own and choosing me to be Anthony's Godmother thank you for being Melanie's Godmother. She couldn't be luckier. I love how you love! I love you bish!!!! Nobody understands what I'm going thu or been thew better then you! Nobody understands what your going thu or been there better then me that's why we work so well..... we have been good and had money we have been bad n been broke but in the end we always come thu for these babies I love all 9 of our children that we share!!! I love you! Thanks for always being there for my husband you been a down a*z homegirl from day 1 for him n now me!!

The most beautiful rocks are those that weathered the storm..... September is national su***de prevention awareness month. This has effected me on so many levels from my own home to my extended family to my Native Community. This is something that's not talked about enough. There's a stigma around mental health and we need to break thu that. Talk to your loved ones let them know help is out there and they are not weak for asking for help. It takes courage to acknowledge something is wrong....
