Holistic was proud to host the Governor of Pennsylvania on Tuesday in the shop during his Main Street Matters (MSM) press release announcement. West Reading was one of 56 communities that received $17.2 Million in DCED funding from Secretary Rick Siger to help revitalize downtowns, support small businesses, and strengthen local economies. I’m extremely excited for our four neighbors that received the $60,000 in MSM funding to improve the facades of their businesses and make West Reading more visually appealing to our neighbors, friends, families, and customers. Josh and I spoke briefly about the challenges small businesses have been facing due to the impacts of the online retail giants competition, tariffs, and the state of the economy. I was then invited by to speak at the press conference about the impact small business has on local communities. I spoke about the impact Holistic has had on building the skatepark with our non profit . Through partnerships with our local elected officials like and we utilized and DCED funding to make the skatepark a reality for so many residents and youth of the Commonwealth. Small business matters and we are your friends, family, and neighbors on the frontlines working to better our local communities. This opportunity meant a lot to me, and following the Governor of Pennsylvania to speak at the podium was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you to everyone that has supported the West Reading community and Holistic over the years. Main Streets Matter, and together our small businesses along with the local community are Building a Better Berks together ❤️!
