Kawaii animal box w/ secret compartment. I tried a different technique for this one. After mocking it up in cardboard to test the theory, I resawed pine boards down, planed them flat, laser cut a boatload of them, and glued them together. I’m not sure I’ll try this particular method again - too fidgety. But it was a learning experience and turned out super cute.

They don’t make them like they used to! I can’t wait to sharpen it up and put this antique to good use in my shop!
