Time and time again, I have been asked “why are my shrimp not holding up very well when fishing?”. And most of the time they are fresh from the store and haven’t been given enough time to cure properly.

BUT…

There is a solution! It’s no secret that salmon crave salt when they’re in fresh water, there’s likely not a single truly effective cure for salmon bait that doesn’t have a buttload of salt in the recipe. It’s nothing fancy, just good ol mortons ice cream rock salt is what I like. As the sockeye can attest to, covering your Columbia Basin Bait shrimp in rock salt & adding a little dab of what ever yum yum juice that YOU like will create very nice FIRM shrimp that stay on the hook well and the fish are guaranteed to be grateful for the treat!!! Confidence in your bait is crucial!!! Give this a shot and I’m sure you’ll be happy with the results!
