We KICK OFF the
FARMERS & MAKERS MARKET
TOMORROW, SATURDAY 10am-2pm!!!
I CAN’T WAIT…. I have spent countless hours getting things ready.. (I hope the weather holds…!! 🙃)
As always, you can expect:
LIVE MUSIC, FOOD, ARTS & CRAFTS, CHILDREN’s ACTIVITIES, GOATS (!!), and FRESH GOODIES!!!!!! (Psst: we will also have… COFFEE!!!!!! 😍)

But before we get into the rhythm of things…
I want to first and foremost thank my friends, old and new (you know who y’all are ❤️!!) who have offered support and assistance this past week with skills, services, joyful greetings and kind words…. I am truly blessed to have such a caring circle of people around me…
Then, I want to express gratitude to all vendors who are joining us - thank you for believing in this project and sharing your passion and talent with our community (I hope you have a very successful season!!)
And of course, we can’t have an actual community project without PEOPLE: my sincere appreciation to all visitors, guests, neighbors, residents, hikers, farmers, local small businesses owners, and old time Vermonters who share our genuine enthusiasm for our new little market…

‼️ MARKET SCHEDULE UPDATE ‼️ We will brood for an extra week and plan to HATCH on JUNE 29th instead!! (NO market on June 22nd!!)
Dear all,
We are so very excited for our second season - we have new things planned and we look forward to seeing you!!!
We have, however, decided to “incubate” for another week…. 🥚🐣
Considering the 90F+ degrees weather expected for the next few days, plus the forecast of thunderstorms on the sequence, we have made the decision to SKIP THIS UPCOMING WEEKEND and hold our first market of the season on JUNE 29th.
These weather conditions put a heavy strain on us (everyone with animals/gardens.) There are added challenges and concerns in running the farmstead/production and getting all structure/products/produce ready under these temperatures... (plus the lingering risk of storms during the actual market day…)
Meanwhile, if you miss our animals and the fresh market goodies, please support our homestead and our community initiatives by:
- subscribing to a weekly delivery of produce and farm products from (pick up at our farmstead on Saturdays, during/after the market [delivery happens even if market is rescheduled!] - I am getting mine this weekend, can’t wait!!! [It’s a bit of a drive for Shelli, so we really would love to get a larger group of customers in the area to ensure the continuity of this wonderful opportunity! 🚜 Please see prior post for details!!)
- signing up to incubate & hatch chicks at your home (this is a 5-week educational program through which we provide all materials and guidance for this memorable experience - please see our website or message us!!)

Spring is here and the sheep are out!!

Our sheep [posters!🤪] have been scattered throughout our beautiful Southern VT region - we are so thankful to all the places where they are grazing…!! 💚 (Shop locally and see if you can spot them out there!!! 🐑🐑🐑 Then come visit the real ones at the farmers’ market next month!! 🐑🐑🐑)

Spring is coming…. (We have TONS OF EGGS at the farm stand!!) 🥚 🍳🥚
Wow, it’s been a while since we last posted…. 6 months!!!! (Yes, we are “still here” and very active indeed!!)
We have been so busy and we have some good news: we are getting ready to come back with bigger and better programs this Summer!!!
Before anyone asks: YES, our wonderful, local FARMERS & MAKERS MARKET WILL RETURN!!!! Thank you so much for the outpouring of support - we are so excited… 🎉🥳 (Held Saturdays, 10am-2pm, at our farmstead, mid-June to Labor Day!! Join us!!)
In addition to the market, we are planning periodic FARM TOURS and small events, including arts and crafts, homesteading workshops and more!! (VT Open Farm Week will be August 4th to 11th - keep tuned!!!)
We are also now opening back up/accepting a limited number of applications for our EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION PROGRAM (Don’t know anything about it…!? Check it out - it’s a lovely opportunity to help our farm while also having a one-of-a-kind family experience!! Scholarships available to VT organizations!!)
Lastly, we would like to foster some community connections between the Appalachian Trail & Long Trail Hikers and the seasonal visitors &/or our town residents. Keep an eye out for invitational posters and announcements!! (Food, anyone!?)
For now, all I wish for this post is to start to grow, gather and simmer the amazing community energy here 💫 for a full release of detailed information to come soon…. (Please be patient - I wear several hats in all these plans 🤪..!!)
